Bevor er im Mai 2000 nach Wien zog, verbrachte Joey Green 15 Jahre in New York City und spielte seine eigene Musik in Clubs wie CBGB's, The Bitter End, The Village Gate und The China Club.

Im 2009, begann er in verschiedenen Coverbands hier in Wien aufzutreten, wobei er sich auf die Musik von Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Randy Newman und Billy Joel konzentrierte. Heuer, nimmt Joey Green wieder seine eigene Musik auf, produziert und spielt sie selbst. Seine Hauptinstrumente ist Klavier

Joey's Green’s Musik ist eine einzigartiger “songwriting” leidenschaftlich, witzig und groovig ist. Wie er es ausdrückt: “Songwriting" ist ein Handwerk. Für mich ist es am besten, mit einer Idee zu beginnen, die durch irgendein emotionales Gefühl, Erfahrung - entweder real oder imaginär - ausgelöst wurde und eine Erzählung schafft."

Joey Green relocated to Vienna in May of 2000. Before relocating to Vienna, he spent 15 years in New York City performing his original music at clubs such as CBGB’s, The Bitter End, The Village Gate and The China Club.

In 2009, he began performing in various cover bands here in Vienna, focusing on the music of Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Randy Newman and more recently---Billy Joel.

In 2018, Joey Green is once again recording, producing and performing exclusively his own music on the piano.

His unique brand of New York/Vienna -based songwriting craft is gritty, witty, passionate, funny and groovin’.

As he puts it; "Songwriting is a craft. For me, it’s best to start with an idea that has been sparked by some emotional feeling, experience—either real or imagined and create a narrative."
